For many of us, taking care of others is our first priority, and while it’s important to care for our loved ones and those in need in our community, we must also make time to care for ourselves. If we are rundown or sick, we are unable to help anyone else.
To do this, is simple enough and does not need cost a lot of money, sometimes it costs nothing at all.
This can be picking some flowers from your garden, brewing tea with real leaf tea in a china cup, reading an inspiring book, or soaking your feet in a bath of water with a drop of lavender oil, or even fresh lavender flowers. Your self nurturing practices are limited by your imagination. So why not take even 5 minutes to show yourself some loving kindness, especially if you are struggling with life right now. The simplest things can bring us a sense of calm and peace and self-love.
